Better Banks has a new leadership team at the Astoria location.

Jill Easley was recently promoted to Branch Manager following the retirement of Barb Miller. Jill has nearly 22 years of banking experience. Jill started her career as a teller and has taken on additional responsibilities. She joined the team at Farmers State Bank in Astoria, part of the Better banks family, in 2006. Jill has been training with Barb to assume her role upon retirement. Barb announced her retirement in October.

Additionally, Jessica Shawgo will assume the branch’s head of the loan department. Jessica joined Better Banks as a Personal Banker in 2019. She was promoted to the Consumer Lender position in 2021. Jessica works closely with the team on all operational aspects of the bank and has played an integral role in building the loan portfolio for the Astoria location.
