Better Banks is pleased to announce the addition of Zach Maher to the lending team as Senior Vice President. Maher, a native of the Princeville area, brings more than 20 years of banking experience and most recently served as Vice President of Commercial Lending, where he managed a $60 million agricultural and commercial loan portfolio.

“We are pleased to have Zach on our team and are confident he will bring valuable knowledge and perspective to our team as we plan for the future,” said Marvin Streitmatter, President of Better Banks. “Zach understands the value of community banking and the importance of building strong community relationships.”

Maher says he thrives on a collaborative approach with both employees and customers. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and leading teams through transformational change while supporting the bank’s performance objectives.

“Throughout my career, I’ve gained experience in consumer, retail, mortgage, commercial, and agricultural lending,” said Maher. “I’m especially passionate about working with ag and commercial customers, and I look forward to putting my background and experience to work for the Better Banks team and the communities we serve.”
